• THE PLANETARY MODEL •

Now that we have identified our universe as a continuous sliding scale of relative definition between two singularities, it is important that we clarify and identify the difference between these two points of absentia. In working toward this goal we can immediately observe how the most obvious distinction between our two points of absentia is that one is outside the defined mass while the other is not.

Another way to differentiate between our two points of absentia is to observe how they conform to the blueprint of opposites that all pairs of opposites must follow, given our previously stated laws. One of the simplest ways of describing the blueprint of opposites is by identifying figure/ground or symmetry vs. broken symmetry. Or, as in the case of our mobius example, the difference between the straight side versus the twisted side. When we observe how a blueprint of ‘straight’ and ‘twisted’ effects our model, we encounter another intrinsic quality or pattern of significance.

Angular Momentum/Dynamic Equilibrium

In our model, the inner absentia represents the ‘twist’ half of a ‘straight’ and ‘twisted’ pair. This mobius-like twist is what creates the mass of substance around the inner absentia. But in order to see how this twist comes about we need to back up, or out, to the untwisted absentia that started things off, to see how the near simultaneous steps of the original 1,2,3 trinity of creation could evolve into the twist of logic responsible for finite manifestation.

When we start with the untwisted outer absentia, we can see how the necessary exclusion of the outer absentia from the universe that is created, likens to a string leaving a top, after putting it into motion.

As virtually simultaneous steps, paradox gives birth to the two sides of a universe of opposites, and then politely excuses and excludes itself - never to be seen as anything but paradox by the resulting universe it opposes. Like a string leaving a top.

In ‘um-pa-pa/1,2,3/cosmic waltz-like fashion, the ‘um’ becomes equivalent to the departing string, while the ‘pa-pa’ becomes manifest in the opposites that cycle about each other. This is what puts the two sides of our theoretical universe in perpetual odds with each other. In this arrangement, the singularity of the outer absentia takes on the balanced, symmetrical or ‘straight’ half of the ultimate pair, while the perpetual struggle between light and dark equals the broken symmetry or ‘twist’ required to achieve identifiable manifestation.

But the real twist occurs when this pattern of nature is repeated within the form of finite coagulation (see recursive model). When this happens, it becomes the nothingness of the non-model that bows out (straight), to create opposing finite forces that ultimately converge, collide and pass around a finite midpoint of exclusion in perpetual pursuit of equilibrium (twist).

Like kids chasing each other around a tree, the game created by this simple twist is endless. And because these opposites never meet, they actually achieve their equilibrium, through the broken symmetry of their directional pursuit! (straight and twisted in one! Just like the mobius band).

In other words, they must maintain the broken symmetry of their directional pursuit, in order to achieve inherent symmetry of equilibrium! (just like the mobius band - which must have two sides in order to have one!) If they stop their pursuit, they cease to exist, and return to the nothingness from which their unique distinction of motion emerged. Thus, a spiraling twist becomes a signature of nature, with the ‘um-pa-pa’/’string-leaving-the-top’ effect, disguising its source - a perpetual effect with a hidden cause!

Rings!

The mobius/magnetosphere idea adds alot to our four spheres and point. In this next pattern, we will see how the idea of comparing the spherical mobius to the shape of a planet’s magnetosphere can take on a somewhat literal translation as we finally get to ‘see’ what this model looks like. That’s right, a planet!, with a center, a mass, a surface, an atmosphere and a magnetosphere (our five ways of being).

Finally, a metaphor we can all relate to. The model is like a planet with a magnetosphere, an atmosphere, a surface, a mass, an axis and rings!

A planetary model is a good visual aid to use with language models that show the equidistant qualities of the number line. With a tangible entity like the Earth, we can easily comprehend the problem of defining an ultimate center with the finite progression of coagulation. We can also clearly define the core, or nucleus of the model (5) and the mass around it (4/6). On the Earth model, we can easily relate to the crust as a kind of skin over the guts of the molten mass (3/7). And the atmosphere is also easy to see (2/8). And, even if the magnetosphere is not easy to see, the limits of the atmosphere, or the warp of spacetime around any manifest entity, can still equate with the limits of the totality (1/9).

The planetary model shows how the ‘perfect’ or 'ideal' model of concentric spheres can be interpreted into a literal entity. In fact in some ways the planetary model may actually be considered more accurate than the concentric spheres of the perfect model, because it shows such things as how the mass and atmosphere become large areas to pass through, while the center, skin, and outer perimeter represent places of in-betweeness - i.e. a way of moving from one area to the other. But there’s more. In addition to these planetary parameters, there remains at least one more characteristic element to this signature of nature that must be explained.

As mentioned before, one of our two points of absentia exists at the convergence of the mobius/magnetosphere cones, and one at the outer sphere that begins the model. In being true to the nature of a mobius strip, the action within the cones, leading to the inner absentia, should be twisted, and the other not. The inner absentia exists at the ultimate indefinable midpoint between the two cones as they spiral together (twist). Likewise, in reciprocal fashion, we now identify the outer absentia as existing at an external midpoint known as the equator where it lies dormant (straight). By cutting the plane of the equator through to the center, we could unite our split points of absentia and create a two sided model between them. Or, by leaving the model intact as a continuous spectrum of sequential development, we maintain a split absentia - evidence that our 2 into 1, 1 into 2 mobius paradox is still a ruling force.

When incorporating these characteristics into our planetary model, we create numerous possibilities for isomorphic analogies in science, not the least of which is the possibility of rings around our concentric spheres, as we theorize residual matter coagulating into the vacuum of the equatorial outer absentia. Also, we may notice an allegorical connection between the twisting of the spiraling cones, and the gyroscopic action of real planets in space, thus creating for us an internal source of torque, effecting the angular momentum of the model in space. In relating these patterns to science we can see how having this type of condition within our model will invariably cause it to spin, like a real planet. In addition, the spiraling action, when combined with equatorial debris, and bulging spheres, might come to resemble galaxy formations in space, as well as planets.

Finally, as the seemingly universal form of a spiraling disk with a bulged middle is brought out, we can see how this too becomes a signature of nature that would ultimately allow numerous isomorphic connections to be made between scientific fact and our model’s evolving form, enabling us to compare our fundamental parameters to images as diverse as a galaxies in space, solar systems about a sun, planets with rings and moons, atoms with orbiting electrons or even human heads with auras and halos!

Only Five Steps to Remember

As a continuation of this planetary model idea, we can also see how in addition to identifying fundamental parameters of an entity, a logical examination of any finite object or idea will reveal five basic fundamental ways that it can ‘be.’ This then becomes an alternate method of arriving at the same fundamental parameters of our model, put forth so far, but in a way that is a bit less paradoxical. Here’s how.

1) First of all, the first thing you have to say about any ‘thing’ is that it either exists or it doesn’t. If it doesn’t exist everything else you could say about it does not apply. In other words, in whatever situation you place manifestation, it is always there, or it is not manifest. Or put another way; “Wherever you go....there you are” - Buckaroo Bonsai.

From this idea we gain a concept that can be referred to as ‘zero time,’ similar to that of zero gravity. It says that until you establish a ‘reference frame’ and locate yourself, time does not apply. In other words, the chaos of nothingness is also timeless, and only when a finite event is allowed to emerge, can a reference frame be determined. This of course means that all ‘points of time’ are equally viable just as “All points of view in the universe are equally valid” (axiom of relativity). But you must first determine where your point of view is, before you can compare it to any others. To continue our analysis we will assume that our model exists in the here and now, and not some undetermined dimension of space/time.

2) The next most obvious thing we can say about any finite ‘thing’ is that it has an inside and an outside, a ‘dimension’ (if you want to call it that) associated exclusively to the substance of the mass.

3,4 & 5) Finally, the last thing we observe are the three physical dimensions of geometry that divide all entities into three different directions of orientation.

Of course in the emptiness of deep space these three dimensions have no predetermined direction. Labeling directions up and down, front and back etc. is totally arbitrary, or relative to a chosen reference frame. In fact, only one of these three directions can be identified in any real way. The presence of an axis becomes apparent in later discussions. However the orientation of this axis remains indeterminable, although up and down seems to be the most popular, with the other two dimensions maintaining a descriptively perpendicular, and equatorial, position to that axis.

• MULTIPLE INCARNATIONS OF FORM •

So our tarot universe is comprised of a spinning mass of coagulation about an inner non-universe, or absentia, surrounded by rings and governed by endless definition. This endless definition insures that our system is indeed infinite. But by creating a finite entity that is infinite in proportions, we find that there are just a few more patterns to address on the subject of infinity and infinite incarnations of form.

The Genetic Code

As an additional pattern in nature, we find that in describing the universe with a ‘perfect’ model, we are ultimately obliged to describe all entities in our universe, as well as all elements of all entities, with a complete spherical model as a representational form. Because of this, an additional aspect of infinity is brought out, as we observe the combining or dividing of all entities as infinite. Infinite combining and dividing is of course possible because all entities ultimately converge on a collective central ‘point’, and always radiate a ‘sphere’ of influence.

This of course means that no matter how big or how small, no matter how many or few, each one or all together, in our tarot universe, all entities retain the same ‘genetic code’ of our model’s universal forces. Genetic code is of course a phrase, borrowed from science, that is being adapted to suite our special needs. Several factors of logic contribute to this curious phenomenon of genetic integrity, within existing and emerging entities.

Displacement/Containment - The Cosmic Hologram

First of all, the fact that the two sides of the universe are born from a paradox of exclusion, means that the law of opposites can be infinitely applied in either a compounding or dividing manner, without ever revealing a definitive source. In other words, the ‘string’ of the predictable paradox puts the opposing forces of the universal ‘top’ in motion and then disappears. When the law of opposites is applied and re-applied, it becomes a question of figure/ground displacement within the confines of infinity that allows any finite model, or part thereof, to be viewed as a complete entity. In other words, it’s the containment, by nothingness, that defines the parameters of all finite entities, because all entities share the same nothingness. Because of this, dividing and compounding of entities is infinite without loss or gain to fundamental parameters.

Every inch of nothingness is connected to every other inch as one contiguous non-entity. Manifestation pushes aside, or breaches, this continuum to create individual pockets of energy that are unique, varied, transitory and NOT connected to every other unique, varied and transitory entity.

In short, genetic integrity insures that if you divide a whole in half, each half will still be a whole - like breaking a mirror into two pieces. As a single piece, a mirror will reflect a single image. When broken in half, each piece remains capable of reflecting an entire image, rather than half of the whole it came from. If it were possible to restore the two back into a perfect one, they would again reflect a single image. In the same way, dividing and compounding of our fundamental parameters produces individual and collective replicas with genetic integrity intact and displacing of all but the current sphere of influence.

In this way, we can see how genetic integrity effects tangible as well as intangible entities equally. In other words, genetic integrity effects a single body or a single mind, just as surely as it effects a world culture or a collective unconscious - all entities retain the genetic code of our fundamental parameters. This idea is of course best exemplified in chaos science, where the idea of fractal geometry reinforces this notion of complete entities repeating at infinite levels.

The Spiral

Many people insist on examining entities by continually attempting to extract, identify or record something that can be considered the smallest, or first entity. Of course, as we have just pointed out, this is a never ending process, there is always something smaller within whatever they find.

The problem, from the viewpoint of a finite mind, is that the answer to this endless definition lies at the indefinable and unobtainable center of whatever they start with, the collective point within the sphere of influence. But the indefinable center has nothing within it to record. Entering the center only leads to concentric recursive confusion, as we have seen in the example of ‘three time three, equals one’. So, what finite minds usually end up doing is moving to one side, either theoretically or literally, to extract and examine a smaller portion of an original, which unfortunately only serves to create for them a new center, from which they invariably move again to one side and repeat - forever. A single path that continually skirts a center to replicate its form, creates a spiral shape.

The golden section is a good metaphor for the idea of never finding a center to a manifest form. “We dance around a circle and suppose, while the secret lies in the center and knows” - Robert Frost

A spiral is what we used to describe the action within the cones of the mobius sphere. The cones were the part of the mobius that was twisted. The twisted part was the part of the mobius that gave the model its paradoxical one sided, endlessly inward characteristics. This is why avoiding the center of any ‘thing’ leaves one perpetually searching (inward) or endlessly ascending (outward).

In short, the spiral shape, and the concentric recursion of the model, shows how there actually is no such thing as ‘finite’, only lesser degrees of infinity or incomprehensibility. It shows that no matter how finite, or comprehensible, our model gets it will never totally squelch the inner absentia, the inner absentia will always be there at the infinitesimal center or midpoint of any entity, offering the resistance to definition that creates the compression of the mass (see salmon analogy).

In the end the spiral shape will also show us how paradox becomes a divinely inspired form of thought, as recognition of an unobtainable goal becomes analogous to the adherence to absurdity certain religions endorse i.e. stop moving in a spiral and see more by not looking, or look into the center where there is nothing and know everything.

Scaling

The notion of a spiral, as it relates to concentric recursion, shows how the spherical model describes an entity, or any part of an entity, with genetic integrity intact. There is however another pattern of recursion that deals with genetic integrity by way of the number line that passes through our model.

The number line is of course a one dimensional representation of the individual stages of our three dimensional model, and the concentric concepts of containment used to describe coagulation. However, as we will demonstrate in the next chapter, it can also be used to represent the steps of progress through an already existing entity, or an evolving event in time. As steps of progress through an event in time, the number line represents to us intervals of time. As intervals of time, a single number line can be used to describe the general concepts of beginning, middle and end, allowing us to view the number line as a general expression of time on all scales. In other words number lines can be condensed, or expanded, to describe any length of time in terms of its beginning middle and end, thereby allowing number lines to represent both a split seconds of time, or an entire epoch of history.

Because of this expansible nature of the number line, we can now conclude that there is in fact multiple - and infinite quantities of number lines between each interval of time, on all scales of measure, thus allowing each moment in time to be broken down into smaller or larger intervals of beginning, middle and end. In other words, as each moment of time is divided by a number line, each interval can then be divided again to create a smaller scale of resolution, and increase the finite nature of that which is being defined. As this process is shown to be infinite, the resolution of time is revealed as infinitely smooth, while at the same time being governed by the frame by frame intervals of the number line pattern.

In the end, genetic integrity show us how all entities, and all parts of entities, reflect the stages of the spherical model, just as all time, and all moments in time, can be seen in the one dimensionally equivalent number line. Together these two examples of recursion demonstrate the impossibility of finite definition in an infinite universe. And, just as the model attempts to define out of a compulsive, mandatory act of stabilization by converging on a center it never reaches, we reveal, by analogy, how it is also man’s nature to compulsively define his infinite surroundings, with ideas that forever fall short of their goal.

Summary

And with that, we conclude the formation of our ‘finite entity’. With patterns like the crossection, the five ways of being and the nut in the shell, we developed an abstract form that describes the sum total of our universe-creating logic so far. With ideas like three time three equals one, two into one and one into two, the mobius sphere and the magnetosphere we are reminded of how paradox remains a ruling factor to be reckoned with, within the universe we create. And finally, with ideas like angular momentum, rings, displacement, genetic integrity, the spiral and scaling we become aware of other limiting factors to be reckoned with when creating a home-made universe of tarot.

The Model is a complex conglomeration of interdependent ideas that cast many different shadows. The Model is a finite entity amid the continuum of nothingness that gave it birth - just like you! Paradox is it’s ultimate creator or Godforce, it’s master, it’s savior, it’s demon within. To know The Model, is to know yourself as you have never known yourself before!

Overview of the Number Line

And so we conclude the genesis logic portion of our journey. And thankfully .... with the introduction of a number line, we are lead directly into a discussion of its details.

If you choose to continue with this study, will move on by examining some patterns that give us a handle on how the number line visually replicates the forces of our spherical universe on a one dimensional number line plane. From there we will move on to see how the idea of coagulation and homing can be seen in this one dimensional form. After that we will cover some patterns that show how a simple number line can describe events in time with a divine cycle of numerical progress, and in doing so, demonstrate powers of the model not easily seen in spherical form. Finally we will cover some ideas that attempt to theorize a connection between the fundamental patterns of an abstract finite entity and the fundamental parameters of a living entity like ourselves. This will prepare us for the eventual link we hope to make to tarot icons as these icons come to represent to us the qualities of human entities.
