• THE LAW OF SEQUENCE - OR DEVELOPMENT •
Point of Origin
Because of the internal conflicts within the laws of opposites, paradox, and even infinity, you might be tempted at this point to reject them as preposterous assumptions. The fact that each one proposes a condition of opposites that create as well as destroy each other, seems a ridiculous state of affairs. And yet, it is from this dubious conjecture that a process of further development is born, or should we say hatched! Here’s how.
In the law of opposites, we revealed a single law with opposing objectives that created for us a cycle of infinity (i.e. symmetry/broken symmetry). In the law of the predictable paradox, we introduced another law with conflicting objectives that created for us a beginningless beginning (i.e. chicken and egg in the same place). Now we will see how the law of sequence and development repeats this design of inclusive contradiction, to suggest additional stages of development. Here’s how it works.
First of all, by addressing the necessary exclusion of the non-universe (or what we are now calling the absentia) as our first concept, we have deliberately made an implicit assumption about the subsequent development of a universe, from this beginningless beginning. But because paradox is a device for entering cycles of infinity, we have to also admit that there really is no beginning at all. However at the same time, the relationship that exists between paradox, and the two sides of the universe that result, also leads us to suspect that, regardless of whether there is a beginning or not, there definitely appears to be a hierarchical relationship governing the developmental process behind these first critical steps of creation. In other words, the ‘chicken and egg in the same place’ status carried by the absentia, appears to give it a more fundamental, elemental, or primordial quality with respect to the binary universe that results, thus providing us with a possible point of origin in a developmental process that, because of its desire to be infinite in a paradoxical way, doesn’t really want to define an origin at all. Not too confusing, eh? Of course none of this confusion would exist if our finite minds were capable of understanding infinity and paradox, or simply accepting it, as some philosophies suggest. It is only our incessant need to find some kind of beginning that leads to such paradox. Certainly to a mind capable of living with paradox, there is no confusion at all. It is only to a finite mind that any relief from paradox need be sought.
Violation and Restoration
To address the question of development from the paradoxical beginning we have just created, perhaps it would be helpful for us to enter a cycle of infinity and observe a few things about its constituent parts. To do this, let’s just imagine a nondescript, fictional cycle, containing anonymous elements of no particular association to reality, and see what happens when we apply the laws of our logic so far to its individual parts.
By applying the law of opposites and paradox, to any one individual part in a cycle of infinity, we can see how the intrinsic qualities of these laws effect each part in a twofold manner. In other words, we can observe how the balance and flux of the law of opposites combines with the ‘chicken and egg in the same place’ qualities of paradox to create a device for development within each part of any cycle. For example: when we examine this generic cycle, we see that each theoretical ‘part’ exhibits both a balanced state of symmetry, as well as a communicative flux toward an opposite. In other words, in a balanced state, each individual part of our cycle is seen as a complete entity standing alone without an opposite, creating a state of symmetry that must be broken. While in an unbalanced state, or state of broken symmetry, each part is seen as responding to an impetus of flux. It is now out of balance, by virtue of implicit communication to an opposite. . . an opposite that will ultimately restore balance. . . . a balance that will eventually require an additional impetus to break its newly acquired symmetry. . . a symmetry that must then be broken. . . etc.etc.etc...ad infinitum.
Thus we find that, in the law of sequence and development, it is this very condition of perpetual violation and restoration of the law of opposites that creates a never ending undulation of balance and flux throughout the individual stages of our evolving model, and ultimately allows each part of any cycle of infinity to be seen as both chicken and egg: i.e. balanced in its isolation and fluctuant toward its adjacent opposite, or ‘neighbor along the way’.

Each individual manifest part of each manifest entity is a complete entity, with all the same laws of creation that govern the whole. The paradoxical Chicken and Egg in the same place phenomenon of the law of paradox governs each part. Each Chicken is a balanced entity as well as an element of communicative flux toward the next Egg - in the same place, at the same time!

Because of the effects of violation and restoration we can now conclude that in fact each step of our evolving universe is actually being created and, creating a partner, at the same time! In other words each stage of development becomes both a viable beginning as well as a pivotal stepping stone to further development in the same place.
Such is the nature of paradox and infinite cycles. But the observance of ‘chicken and egg’ / symmetry and broken symmetry, within each part of a cycle does not alone produce sequential development. Something is missing from this equation, in the form of directional bias within the undulating effect. In order to define the directional bias of this developmental law, let’s state formally what has only been implied so far. To formalize the idea of sequence and development, the law of sequence now officially states that:
Law of Sequence: Whereas the laws of opposites and paradox effect all parts of cycles, the law of sequence states that as each part of any cycle responds to its need for broken symmetry, its opposite must be of an unequal kind, such that it will be considered both a balanced opposite and unequal at the same time! thereby maintaining the violation and restoration characteristics of these combined laws between the two parts, as well as within them.
In other words, to put it more plainly, if an opposite within a cycle remains equal and balanced, a state of symmetry appears between the two that must also be kept in a state of violation and restoration, along with the violation and restoration of the individual parts. Thus by having each viable beginning in a cycle giving birth to an opposite that is both a balanced partner and unequal in measure, the blueprint of contradictory objectives is maintained in this new law. As this equally preposterous assumption of development is allowed to exist, the law of sequence reveals to us yet another single law with opposing objectives that in the end creates a hierarchal relationship between individual parts that are sequentially superior or inferior to their ‘balanced’ opposite neighbor. As a result we achieve an undulating cycle of infinity that is forever stepping up in measure, thereby giving the illusion of sequential development within a system that isn’t really going anywhere!

The Fibonacci Sequence
Another pattern that we can use to visualize The Law of Sequence involves a more linear idea of numbers that are sequentially inferior and superior to each other along a path toward infinite augmentation, it's called The Fibonacci Sequence!

Each number is an end, middle and beginning... at the same time! When it is a middle, it is Chicken and Egg. When it is a beginning or end, it is a Chicken or an Egg. Each equation hatches the next, while at the same time being hatched by the previous. The path is never ending and always beginning!

In this pattern, each number is added to the next to produce an augmented result. The next number is then added to the result to produce another result. Each number is then the sum of the preceding two. Each number is thus simultaneously an end, middle and beginning... at the same time! When it is a middle, it is a Chicken and Egg. When it is a beginning or end, it is a Chicken or an Egg. Thus, each equation hatches the next, while at the same time being hatched by the previous. Except for the very beginning, which is a middle and a beginning with no end! I've added a zero to the sequence to represent the paradox of The Absentia. Thus we see how The absentia hatches a universe that is forever beginning and never ending! Birth from a Cosmic Egg... that is also a Cosmic Chicken... at the same time!
But the best way to see how this sequential pattern can be used to illustrate the critical ideas behind The Law of Sequence and the idea of birthing a universe, it is suggested that we change the terms 'beginning' 'middle' and 'end' into 'symmetry' 'the cosmic imperative to break symmetry' or... 'breaking symmetry' and 'restored symmetry'. In seeing each stage of development simultaneously as three states, moving toward the concept of broken symmetry and restored symmetry, it is theorized that sequential development of a universe is indeed a cosmically inevitable event. When we view things that way, we can really see how violation and restoration makes things go!
This comparison is then good at demonstrating the mechanics of sequence, with its violation and restoration of symmetry and broken symmety, as well as how our numerological number line augments... endlessly... and exponentially, like our actual expanding universe. A concept that we will expand upon later in this book.
Male and Female
Some brands of numerology advance the notion that some numbers are inherently more male or female. For example; some say the number one is male because it is a presence that is born from nothingness; so by its very existence, it is more male than the non-existence it came from. But, a point is pointless if it does not lead to something else. Thus, by leading to something else we could argue that the action and activity that immediately follows a point is more male than the inert, nascent stasis of a point. Thus we see how the point has now changed from being more male, to being more female. This alternating process can go on and on, and it does; it is the very mechanism of sequence. It is symmetry and broken symmetry in action, what we call the process of Violation and Restoration. Each step is always becoming and always being at the same time.
In relating this notion to the Law of Sequence we are currently discussing, we might conclude that making male/female judgements is like trying to declare each number as either Chicken or Egg. We've just demonstated how, in this system of analysis, they are indeed both at the same time. So, in this particular system of analysis, we declare each number to be both male and female at the same time, and in doing so, support this whole notion of sequence.
The Cosmic Waltz
Because the predictable paradox allows for a beginning that is beginningless, the subsequent development of a cycle from this point is of course infinite, and the sequential stepping up, or out, from this beginning is therefore an illusion. However within any one area of such a cycle, the apparent hierarchy of development that results is nonetheless real. Because of this it becomes necessary to address the proper order of the sequence of development within the area of primary creation.
We stated before that the two sides of the universe emerged from the impossibility of the non-universe, or absentia, as an element of broken symmetry. Now, because of the law of sequence, we can observe how the law of paradox is in fact not able to give birth to both sides of the universe at once as may have been implied, but instead gives birth to a sequential opposite that will oppose it in an unequal manner, namely - infinity (or chaos & nothingness). Additionally, as the law of sequence continues within the area of primary creation, we see how infinity carries on this impetus of broken symmetry in undulating wave-like configuration toward another opposite of unequal measure, namely - the finite model (or order & everythingness). Thus we can conclude that the two sides of the universe are in fact created in three steps: 1)paradox, then 2)infinity, and 3)definition, or, 1)paradox, then 2)chaos and 3)order. By addig a zero to the Fibonacci sequence, the 0, 1, 1 pattern reinforces this notion of development in three parts.
I call this illusion of development The Cosmic Waltz because of the um-pa-pa nature of the sequence being described. Because the two sides of the universe comprise a mutual pair of opposites that emerge from a singularity of nature, I see the singularity of this progression as taking on the note of the ‘um’, while the two sides of the universe that follow become the ‘pa-pa’ of sequential development (um, pa, pa = 0, 1, 1 of Finconacci!). However because the first three steps of this developmental process deal exclusively with intangible concepts, as well as a cycle of infinity that is an illusion, the actual sequence of this um-pa-pa waltz is considered to be relatively simultaneous or ‘near simultaneous’ in action. For all intents and purposes though we could consider it to be truly simultaneous, again it is largely for the benefit of finite minds in need of some kind of a beginning that any distinction be made at all in the order of these steps.
The other reason for freeze-framing this near simultaneous act of creation is to observe the law of sequence and the pattern of a trinity it creates as its first act. This is important because these are in fact the first three stages of our evolving model. This 1,2,3/um-pa-pa/0,1,1 process of development becomes a very important idea to the development of additional stages.
If you choose to continue with this study, you will encounter Cosmic Waltz again, later, as the law of sequence continues into the creation of a finite form. When this happens, the ‘near simultaneous’ creation, found in these first three stages of development, will change into steps that clearly alternate between either symmetrical balance or broken symmetrical flux.
