Here are some samples, from various artists, of the level of artistic proficiency I am looking for.

This is Jose Perez - If you could provide rough sketches that are this good, I could ink (and maybe color) them myself in Illustrator.

I'm looking for someone who is good at drawing figures.

I'm looking for someone who can invent characters and costumes.
I actually have characters figured out, but exactly what they will look like is always open to artistic interpretation.

I'm looking for expert rendering of the human form, even in rough sketches like this.

This is from the Disney Snow White DVD. Lots of attention to detail.

This is from the Disney Snow White DVD - These are rough concept sketches.
If you can draw rough concept sketches this good, I can finish them.

This is from the Disney Snow White DVD - Actually, I don't think I'd have to ink or color rough sketches that are this good at all!
This drawing would be fine as is, as would any of these Disney concept sketches.

This is from the Disney Snow White DVD - Dramatic!
Interesting viewing angle. If you have an eye for this kind of drama that would be good.

This is Willaim Stout - If you want to provide finished drawings, his rendering style is great.
I am also really interested in this kind of borderless, vignette approach, I think it works well for iconic firgures of tarot on a card.

Again, the borderless, vignette, emblematic approach is appealing,
as is the meticulous, but not overdone rendering technique.

This is Jeff Hoke - Obviously a lot more labor intensive, but still, not overdone.
If you have the time to do something this good, I will abandon the borderless, vignette approach.

Again, expert rendering with black and white line. And lots of imagination.
I may not be able to afford the cost involved in doing this good of a job, but if you have collaboration in mind...

And, by the way, I'm not locked into realistic representations.
I would be equally pleased with something bold, graphic and simple. This is Elvira Regine.
My last deck was done in this sihouette style, it worked out well.

With a bold, graphic, simple, more abstract approach, color is easier to apply.
I might consider color with an approach like this. This is William Sloan.

Mystic Meg
Here are some cards from the Mystic Meg Tarot by Caroline Smith.
I like this colorful, pattern-busy, stylized, geometric look too.
Luminary

Here is an icon from my deck, drawn from a collaboration that didn't work out.
I can explain why, upon request.
